In the beautiful, old song, Louis Armstrong has to think to himself "what a wonderful world." We don't have to do that anymore. We can actually see it.
Today, NASA released a new, high-definition picture of our Great Space Coaster (remember that old show?). Wow!
But I must say, I was a bit startled by the size of the dry-looking part of the United States. We better treat our water supplies better. And plant a few trees, for Earth's sake! It's also obvious that we better do a better job of keeping the ones we have.
Despite all of that, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of Mother Earth, and the brilliance of humanity that could develop a better way to see her. Now we need more vision.
